Role Specifics
In this role you'll get
- Developing high quality code, including participating in testing and maintenance of that code
- Applying pragmatic engineering approaches to deliver value to customers
- Collaborating with Product Management, Design, Architecture, and other Engineers to help estimate work, design scalable and performant solutions that will delight our customers, and produce high quality production-grade software
- Being seen as leading engineer who focuses and aligns on the team objectives
- Mentoring other Engineers leveraging your experience and knowledge
Must-Have Skills
On day one we'll expect you to:
-
Experience with writing software in (but not limited to) Java, Python, Go
- Spring or other JVM BE framework
- Hibernate or other ORM framework
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch)
- Experience with Event streaming processing (Apache Kafka)
- Understanding of Service Oriented Architectures and RESTful Web Service best practices (REST / GraphQL, OpenAPI / Swagger)
- Experience with tools such as (but not limited to) Jenkins, Ansible, Docker
- Experience with Cloud technologies including (preferable) AWS, Azure

Demonstrated ability to incorporate beneficial software design patterns and identify performance anti-patterns
- Basic understanding of Distributed systems
- Basic understanding of frontend technologies (NodeJS, React, Angular)
- Experience working in Agile teams and Agile SDLC practices
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Experience contributing to an open-source project
- English, at B1 level or higher
